Learning how to work your new DSLR (digital single lens reflex) properly can make all the difference in the world for you to have fun while making great images of your family and vacations. This is an in-depth series of sessions and will include a discussion of what all the buttons do, how the controls of shutter speed and aperture relate to creative choices, the proper use of available light, resolution and quality options, understanding how to use the in-camera light meter for good exposure, what is white balance, tips on good composition and use of camera accessories and flash.  Ori will walk you through demonstrations designed to take beginners into the creative possibilities as well as demystify the new language of the technical features. Learning how to use your camera instruction manual more effectively along with a new handout that is yours to keep will help you to navigate solid reference material after the workshop.  Most importantly, she will get you into a comfort zone of clicking through the menu with confidence so you really understand what you are doing instead of being afraid of it. Also included: discussions on the art of seeing photographically and heightening your awareness of light within your photographs. Bring your favorite DSLR camera, the camera instruction manual and notebook to each class.  Assignments will be given after each class and will need to be printed by the next session for discussion and critique.
