Image Transfers and Cold Wax Workshop with Heidi Sussman

Join us for a fun day of learning how to unleash your creativity with this inspirational mixed media workshop. You will learn how to  produce image transfers and incorporate cold wax  into your pieces  to create work with incredible diversity and uniqueness as you learn to transfer images to various materials including paper, tile and wood with simple yet effective products

There will be a short presentation showing examples of the creative work being done today by contemporary mixed media artists. We will look at how abstraction, composition, paper and other support selections, and different art mediums can create amazing one-of-a-kind pieces to feature your photographs.  We will take time to look at your images and make suggestions on how to incorporate them into image transfers.

There will be discussions, examples and demos on the versatility of cold wax techniques.

There will be plenty of creative opportunities and one-on-one time with two master artists to walk you through each process. You will be stress-free while you have the opportunity to “learn by doing” with each directed step. Expect to leave with an inspired imagination for future projects as well as some finished work.

All necessary art materials and tools will be supplied along with a comprehensive handout containing “how-to” descriptions of all the techniques being demonstrated as well as other mixed media techniques to try on your own. This helpful guide will enable you to continue working with these techniques into the future.

This workshop is geared for any level of artist wanting to combine photographs with other mediums in order to add new interest and excitement to their work. No previous art experience is necessary.

The only requirement is bring a few  toner copies of some of your photographs—detailed information about what you need to bring and how to prepare some images will be sent after you are registered.

CANCELLATION: A 50% refund will be issued for cancellations on or before 14 days before your workshop. No refunds will be issued for cancellations after that.
