We will walk the row of temples that are similar to those in Greece. Overnight Agrigento (B) \n \n \n \n Have a leisurely breakfast this morning and move on with your local guide to the charming hill town of Ragusa Ibla\, one of the most picturesque towns of Sicily. Close by is Noto\, a UNESCO world heritage site of honey-gold baroque. Drive out into the country for lunch at a dairy farm where Ornella and her farmer husband Salvo treat us to produce of the farm. Given time you will visit the charming town of Modica where chocolate is made in the traditional Aztec way brought to us by the Spaniards. Nancy will demonstrate how to use each type of medium that we have available in a step by step simple process.  Our goal is to have you play with each of the mediums and to have fun with it\, ultimately deciding which direction is the most comfortable for you without having to buy all the supplies in order to test everything on your own. \nStudents will be encouraged to push themselves creatively beyond their norm to try new art materials and techniques in order to identify the emotional responses of adding color and texture to their photographs.  You will come away with a new appreciation of painting and seeing color in new ways.  We will have lots of materials available for you to try if you don’t have paints\, pastels or pencils\, but you can also bring what you have so you can learn how to use the materials you already own. Instructions on how to prepare for the day will be sent upon registration. This will include where to order your photos to be printed on a variety of different kinds of paper or canvas including watercolor paper if you cannot do it at home. You were a tremendous help to me!  I had taken a course last year to try to learn the finer workings of my camera\, without success.   I am a “Film Fossil”.  The digital terminology was like a foreign language to me. Your ability to speak both languages (film and digital) really helped me to make the connections that I needed for the fundamentals of the new technology to start to click.
