DESCRIPTION:Explore color photography taught online with a lecture\, demonstrations and critiques. Designed to show you how to see use color more creatively\, the lecture and discussion topics will include: getting the correct exposure\, relationships of colors\, psychology of color\, using different kinds of light sources\, using color for emphasis\, mood and abstraction. This workshop is designed for beginning black and white photographers and will cover: visualization\, scene evaluation\, lighting\, seeing contrast\, understanding brightness values of colors as they convert to black and white\, as well as some post processing tips. We will have visual exercises designed to get you thinking differently while shooting. Ori\nwww.nancyoriphotography.com \nLearn insights into how to make strong digital photographs of flowers\, still life compositions and any type of small objects. This online workshop open to students of all levels will help you gain confidence in your photography as you learn the lighting\, camera\, and lens secrets of macro and close-up photography to make meaningful images. \nMeeting online using the Zoom platform\, the first session will include a lecture on the creative use of aperture and how that affects the final image\, how to set a successful composition\, the beauty of various light sources\, and the use of the pop-up flash in the landscape.  There will be an independent photography assignment between the two sessions for you to try out your equipment and practice these new techniques. The second online session will include a constructive discussion of students’ works. \nTo participate\, students need to have a computer\, tablet\, or phone with internet and access to Zoom. A Zoom link and instructions for joining the class will be sent prior to the first meeting date.
