Gerry Heydt is known for her atmospheric and boldly brushed plein aire and studio landscapes of New Jersey coastal and natural areas, as well for her vivid still life paintings of fruits and flowers. Her work is sold in galleries in the tri-state area. She teaches classes and workshops in still life and outdoor landscape painting at the Visual Art Center of NJ, Summit and Somerset Art Association, Bedminster, NJ. Nancy J. Ori, workshop coordinator, is a professional photographer, workshop leader, and arts promotion consultant.
The workshop is operated out of Howard’s End Cottage, a three story wood frame house, located two blocks from the beach and a five-minute walk to the center of Cape May. Reasonable accommodations are available for workshop participants at the cottage on a first come first served basis. Alternate accommodations are plentiful in the area. Meals and accommodations are not included in tuition. Outdoor Landscape Painting with Gerry Heydt is one of a series of creative workshops sponsored by Nancy J. Ori, New Jersey Media Center, LLC.
- Fee: $350 for tuition and materials fee.
- Arrival and Departure dates:Arrival is on April 28 with check-ins starting at noon if you are staying at the Cottage. Wine and cheese reception 1-3PM.

- Cancellation: If you withdraw from the workshop, you must inform us no later than 14 days prior to the first day of your workshop,vand we will refund your fee, less a registration fee of $25. No refunds of any kind will be made for withdrawal within 14 days in advance of the first day of this workshop, during the workshop, for no-shows or for your room payment. This is a rain or shine event.
